Alpha assignment

for user fields i can receive that from input fields right! but how i set policy details data? from where will i get the policy details data to work with?

Hello @navaneethck_10 ,
I think you are referring to case data. You can access the data while creating a case, as it will be available in your project. You can also structure the case data in a model by defining their types, and then retrieve the data through the case object.

yes, while creating a case using the case service api, you need to pass the required policy details in the input body then once you open the case, you can access the case data object using the following script.

const case_data - await alpha.co.get();
now in the case_data you will have all the data that you have passed while creating a case.

1.is the policy details you are mentioning is customer providing data?

2.is the case service api is the curl link provided in the assignment?

3.after confirming the result through reels (stp or non stp) i need to save policy details right with policy term and policy type etc.so do i need to provide this data manually after confirming whether it is stp or non stp?

Hello @navaneethck_10 ,
Yes, in a use case, you can say the customer is providing the data.

For the second question, it is not the Case Service API but the Case Creation API. You can include your policy data in the case data and create the case.

For the third question, the data comes from the API request body. You can access it in the CO and map the data so that it becomes visible in your Case Manager case. You also need to create the appropriate page for the specific task

Response to the third question answer. @Sam

so the api which is used to create case will return a CID only right how can we get the created case data using this CID ? and after fetching the details using the CID we need to pass the data to the alpha from SSD right? because we are calling this api using SSD right ?. Im i right ?

Hello @Aswin ,
The CID will be available in the case instance, where you can retrieve all information related to the case. While creating a case using case data through the API, the data structure can be defined in the model. You can then use the page components and CO for mapping. When you open the corresponding case, the data you sent from the API request object will be mapped there, and you can proceed with the remaining steps.

Yeah that ok but how can i find the details of the case using CID ? @Sam

Hello @Aswin ,
If you want the case details, go to the Case Manager and open the corresponding case. Then, open the console and use alpha.case_instance.get() to retrieve the case details.

So after creating the case using SSD, we only need to pass the CID back to Alpha, right?

We need to find the details manually as you mentioned. But if we want to automate that process, we can fetch the case details using the CID through an API and then return the entire data to Alpha for processing ?. Is there any api for that?

Hello @Aswin ,
If we need to get the CID, we first have to create a case. When creating a case through SSD, you can pass the appropriate payload, and a CID will be generated. Using that CID, you can then fetch the case and its related details.

As mentioned earlier, if you open the case in the Case Manager, the page will display the case details, provided the fields are properly mapped. From there, you can perform the underwriting operation and proceed with the remaining steps based on the data. If you specifically want to explore the API, I can share the API documentation for your reference.

Thankyou. Can i ask a doubt if we create the case using that api which is provided in the assignment file does that automatically comes to the case manager (workbench view ) of the underwriter ?

Hello @Aswin ,
The case will be routed based on groups or users, as defined in the BPM. In the case of groups, if you are part of a particular group, the case will first appear in the Group Task. After that, it will move to your My Task queue according to the task distribution method.

Right now i havent created group and added users to it , it is not mentioned in the assignment file to create the group and all. so how can i allocate the task to the particular group and continue the process ?.

right now i understood that we need to create a form page to take the data from the users and pass the data to the ssd for creating case instance with the entered user details then we get the CID. i understand this process. Now my doubt is that where we can find the created case details does that automatically comes in the underwriter page ? as you said the case shown based on the group or users right so how we can do that ?

Hello @Aswin ,
You don’t need to worry about groups or users. You just need to be part of a group such as Underwriter, Reviewer, or similar. For example, if you are part of the Underwriter group, the Underwriter cases will automatically appear in your Group Task. From there, the task will move to your My Task queue.

To get the case details, you need to bind the fields from the API request body after creating the case. The steps are:

  1. Create pages based on Human Tasks – Use the BPM file you have already imported. Each task requires a dedicated page.
  2. Example – Underwriter Task: Go inside the Underwriter task and create a page for it. On the page, add the appropriate components, such as input fields, and bind the inputs to the corresponding variables.
  3. Bind variables in CO or locally – Bind the data in CO or locally based on the request body you have already sent through the Create Case API

Following this process ensures that when you open the case in the Case Manager, all the relevant case data is accessible and ready for further operations.
