Clarification on Importing, Modifying, and Merging Projects in N-Trinity

Hello everyone,

While I was covering the module named “Managing Projects on Neutrinos Trinity”, I have a few doubts regarding the usage of N-Trinity, and I would appreciate any guidance or insights from those who have experience with the platform. Specifically, I am curious about the following topics:

  1. Importing Existing Projects into N-Trinity:

    • I’m wondering whether it’s possible to import an existing project directly into N-Trinity? If yes, is there a specific process or set of tools required to do this efficiently? Are there any compatibility issues or best practices to keep in mind when importing projects that were not originally created within N-Trinity?
  2. Modifying and Redeploying Deployed Projects:

    • Once a project is deployed in N-Trinity, can we make changes to the deployed version and redeploy it? How do we go about updating a deployed project, and are there any restrictions or challenges when redeploying a modified version of an already-deployed project?
  3. Merging or Updating Different Versions of the Same Project:

    • If I have multiple versions of the same project (e.g., version 1.0 and version 2.0), how can I merge or update these versions together within N-Trinity? Is there a version control system or any built-in features that support merging and managing different project versions?

Basically almost other N-tools like REELS,ALPHA,STUDIO etc, We have this feature to import our existing projects/apps to modify and all.

I’d really appreciate any help or advice on these topics!

The concept of a project in Trinity differs from Reels and Alpha. In Trinity, there is no option to import projects. If you already have a project (namespace) in your cluster and want to manage it through Trinity, you can create a project with the same name as the existing project (namespace).

Additionally, there is no option to deploy projects directly in Trinity. Instead, you can deploy the various applications created under a project. You can also deploy different versions of an application, and a redeploy option is available.

Versioning for projects is not supported in Trinity.

If you have completed the Neutrinos Trinity training, these concepts should become clear. However, if you still have any doubts, feel free to reach out to us for clarification.
