# Error 500 when trigger API Request in Alpha

Hi @Sam,  
I am doing the alpha assignment, i implement the public api for email notify and i want to config the email notification via API Request Trigger, but i got an error “Unknown URL”, Could you please help me explain which step i’m doing wrong? Thank you

@datvo It may be that only the specific URLs registered in the Request App (Gateway) are allowed to be called from the API Trigger.

Please try implementing this using a **Custom Code Trigger** instead — it should work in that case.
