# Clarification on Case Approval/Reject Behavior in Alpha Assignment

Hello Community,

I noticed something while working on the alpha assignment — I’m currently able to **approve or reject cases directly from the group task**.

Is this the expected behavior? Or should we implement some form of **validation or restriction** to ensure that only assigned users can perform these actions?

Hello @aniket ,  
"Cases are automatically assigned to users based on their bandwidth and daily limit if your project or task has already triggered the Task Distributor API using round-robin or skill-based allocation. If you don’t see a case in your ‘My Tasks’, you can reassign it to yourself and then perform the required operation from there

Yes, currently I am doing that only, but when I click on a case from the group task it gets opened and I am able to perform operations. But this is not a good way, right? So, I am asking can we restrict opening of cases from the group task list or can we add validations while performing these operations?

Hi @aniket

If the user is inside a role group, e.g Underwriter and you have tasks assigned to underwriter all users under that group will be able to see the case, open task pages and perfom an operations.

If you want to restrict authorization for case decision you can use **userInfo** which is found in alpha.local, based on the username you can either hide or disable the Approve and Reject button.
